A Fun Day

We ventured out to the big city recently and while there we made the most of the evening by going to the the world's largest aquarium. We both love nature so this had been something we had been wanting to go do. We absolutely loved it!! We spent a couple of hours looking at the whale shark's, piranha's, alligators, and my personal favorite, the penguins!! I would love to hold an annual pass and go there whenever I wanted but that would mean an hour drive into the city and I HATE, yes HATE to drive in the city. Way too many folks!! So I took plenty of pictures to look back and enjoy and I'll share them with you guys too.

I wish I had a beautiful little girl to include in these photos so bad. We talked about how much she would have loved it. There were so many kiddo's enjoying all the sites and shows. We look forward to being able to take Bella one day. Sigh.................

As promised here are the photos.

Pray for Miss Maggie

Everyone that will please skip over to Kathy's blog and pray for Maggie. You can read all the details there but Maggie has been home just a couple of weeks and went for her first checkup only to find that she has some hearing problems and maybe some vision problems as well. We are believing God to touch her and also for good test results on Monday. Please pray with us.

Snow!!!!!

It has been a cold winter!! Honestly, this weather has been some of the coldest we've had in over 2 decades! I am sooo ready for it to warm up a little. Just to our normal temperatures for this time of year would be a great improvement. We've even had a little of the white stuff lately and some ice on top of that. But it is winter I guess and God certainly knows what we need now doesn't he? After our last little snow, on Saturday morning, I was getting ready to go into town and heard a sound like someone cutting doughnuts in the front yard. So wet hair and all I went out and found my sweet husband on the 4 wheeler going round and round on the snow and ice. I took pictures to prove that he has not grown up just yet. He had a blast. If I wouldn't have gotten sick from being wet I would have joined him! It looked like fun.

On a totally different note.....I am hoping to get some ideas from you guys. I would like some new recipes for vegetable dishes/casseroles. I don't want to use any meat or bread in them. If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments section or feel free to email them to me directly. We are ready to try some new things and I haven't really found a good cook book and besides you all seem to be a wealth of knowledge and ideas. Share your favorite vegetable side dish that you prepare, Pretty Please????? Thank you!!!!

New Year's

With Christmas just passed, New Year's is just around the corner. 2010!@#!@# Geez, last year just flew by. We don't have any big plans for the celebration just looking forward to some down time together. We are excited to see what God has in store for us next year. Throughout this year we have said that we have felt like God was stretching us spiritually. Of course that is a good thing but it doesn't feel good at all while it's happening. I have made a small list of things that I want to make adjustments on in 2010. (My weight was not one of them but of course losing 10 pds would not hurt my feelings!!) I am going to write them down and make a note on my calender in June to revisit my list to see where I am. No, I am not going to tell you what they are. After all, they are my goals....lol!!
.
The new song on the blog is from our praise and worship leader that recently left our church to go on tour. I love this song and wanted to share it with some of you who may not have heard it. This cd was recorded live with our church choir. It was a phenomenal service!!!

Before I go, I wanted to send you over to my sweet friend Kathy's blog. They are in Chin*a now to get their daughter Maggie. She is grieving hard and has not ate in over 24 hrs so please pray for her. It is so hard on these little ones. She sure is a doll!!

Happy New Year's to all!! Wishing you a blessed and prosperous 2010!!
